dying for...

...a dog. I think I've looked at the humane society's website 3 or 4 times today, really.  I miss having the company of a dog around, they are always so happy and loving, and the best are when they are snuggly. I really wish I could get one right now, and the apartment I'm in allows them, but when I have to move again in august who knows if i'll be able to find a place that allows dogs (that's also in my price range).

I keep telling myself that I can wait till I'm graduated, but that's going to be a few years yet and that seems like such a long time. Oh well, I guess that's just more incentive to get it over with, right?

I still have my dream of having a puppy and bunny being best friends, of course, but now I'm thinking I'll be lucky to have a doggie of my own in a few years.

p.s. don't tell my dad. he'll just tell me that if i want to be around a dog i can always move back home.

  1. We've lived in 2 places that allowed dogs and Mike lived in one in SLC pretty close to the U. They are possible to find. He used to really crave a dog but having a kid "somewhat" appeases it. Both kids and dogs are more expensive than you realize and both cuddle. Kids eventually turn into teenagers and dogs don't so there may be some advantage there. We have less dog hunger because Evelyn wants one so bad that we are always petting any dog passing by. Take her to a park and you'll see.

  2. that's so cute that she wants a dog! I can't wait to see her and you guys! she'll be so different now, and so much bigger.

I know that some places allow dogs, but those places are usually more expensive. we'll see though...

  3. I still don't understand why you can't just get one. You wont regret it. And plenty of places allow dogs.
Just think, YOUR dog could be waiting for you right now! If you wait, she/he will either put to sleep or sent to a mean family.
And think of all of the security and physical activity it will bring you!
Those are pretty much the only reasons I would want to have a dog of my own.
